Stephan Kain is a musician under the label, KAIN, and a member of two collectives, AKHYLA (Malaysia) and PHYLA (Singapore). His music, while unquestionably in the realms of bass, has flickers of hip-hop and experimental sounds throughout. As a member of Akhyla and Phyla, he already has several releases under his belt, including his ‘Sigma’ EP, ‘Headlock/Cold’, a collaborative album with VMPRMYTH, ‘Clairvoyants’, and his album ‘Duality’.
As an A&R curator, Kain researches, connects, and curates musicians to be featured on Around The Block. As part of ATB he has curated a number of musicians such as YAHNA and thruoutin (to be published on ATB soon), to name but a few.
